My Story
As the strategic architect, James has seen the growing need to connect the untapped and underserved talent pool to the understaffed construction industry. As a respected executive in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion professional, he understands the value of amplifying the diverse voices of others as he was the strategist behind his company’s differently-abled employment program.

He has been involved in the Supplier Diversity field for over 20 years, where he crafted his company’s corporate strategies to best serve the changing and diverse communities in Texas. During this time, he worked very closely with the construction team to help ensure the general contractors were providing opportunities for local, small, and diverse skilled craftsmen across the state. This is where he identified the growing opportunity gaps for Veterans, differently challenged and second chance communities.

Converting company initiative to tactical strategies is something he has done his entire career. As the advocate for grassroots and diverse non-profits, he oversees the budget to connect with targeted non-profits across the state whose mission aligns with his company’s core giving strategy.
James serves as the chair, director and advisor on many boards and councils; Texas Diversity Council Board of Directors, TrueBlue Inclusion, FMI (Food Marketing Institute) Chair Supplier Diversity Committee, Texas NAACP Corporate Advisory Council, Chair and NAACP Foundation Board Trustee.
